MERGE

A minigame collection about several uninteresting individuals merging together to form a slightly more interesting hive-mind.

Originally a jam game that I went back and added some sound/music to, along with a couple other versions.

If you plan to play it, download version 2 for the "best" experience. The older version is the one I made for the jam, if you like slightly worse writing and dead silence, you'll love it.

The game can get pretty difficult and a little unfair. That's intentional, so don't feel too bad if you get booted out of a minigame, it's just to keep the game going in case you get stuck.

The music/sound is of varying quality, I mostly used the time I spent making it to get more comfortable with DAWs, so I found a lot of stuff I'd like to use for future projects. They were not used in this soundtrack because this game doesn't deserve it.

---GAMEPLAY---

- The game consists of four different minigames, or "tests"

- Two of them use the cursor, two of them use WASD or arrow keys

- You get 10 chances to complete each test

- Once you have completed or failed out of every test, you get one chance to overcome the final challenge. I'll let you figure out what that is yourself

---CONTROLS---

- Most of the controls are explained in game.  But if you want more legible tutorials, look here

- Press the H key to enable/disable the touchpad handicap, which slows down the cursor minigames (you should only use this if you're using a touchpad or mouse with  low sensitivity, don't be a cheater)

- Press the L key to quit, and T to restart

- The game goes fullscreen automatically, so the only other ways to quit are alt+tab or pressing F to enter/exit fullscreen and closing the tab

- Cursor minigames use mouse movement and left click to interact with things

- The other two minigames use WASD or arrow keys to move/jump

- You can press the M key in the hub area to start endless mode, but I recommend finishing the game first before attempting it
